work from home edinburgh

work from home edinburgh
I want to change career and go into I.T.what course should i do for quick entry and good pay ? Cisco?

I work as a control valve technician in a refinery, but i am studying a BSc in Computing with the Open Uni but it will be years before I graduate
I want to get some quick courses under my belt and change career ASAP,obviously i am looking for a good rate of pay, and I’m looking to work in central Scotland (Glasgow to edinburgh)
I can study from home and have access to a PC and broadband internet.

I have heard that Cisco networking is a possible avenue, the CCNA course and then CCDA/ proffesional

get computer weekly and see what jobs are going for Cisco and the like. Ring the company and ask them what the look for in a applicant. i.e what qualifications. contact network suppliers to see what they use and what kind of employees they struggle to find.

This mag also lets you know what will be big in few years and if you get the training now it will pay dividends.

I am a programmer and i started with computer (distance learning) many years ago, not bad but could have been better

nitlc also seem to be a good choice www.nitlc.com.

also network engineers tend to work all over the UK installing not likely you will get much work local regularly.
